What is Mission R?
Mission R is a conservation advocacy initiative launched by Ocean Park Corporation in 2023. Inspired by the Reverse the Red movement initiated by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA). Mission R focuses on reversing species extinction trends through igniting optimism and collaborative actions to ensure survival of species and diversity of ecosystems. With three key directions – Saving Species and Habitats, Eat Local and Plastic Challenge, Mission R aims to fostering community collaboration, inspiring public participation, and encouraging behaviour changes towards a sustainable future.
Eat Local

Prioritising local or nearby locally-grown ingredients supports local agriculture and fisheries and reduces carbon emissions, contributing to carbon neutrality efforts.
Savings Species and Habitats

Improving lifestyle habits and constantly reminding oneself to maintain Earth’s biodiversity helps reduce human activities’ impact on natural ecosystems, saving species and habitats.
Who can participate in Mission R?
Everyone, including the general public, schools, and businesses, can do it!
